Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Daima has a new trailer and Goku's child is more fit than ever
Akira Toriyama presents the young designs of other characters such as Krillin, Chi-Chi, Mr. Satan, Majin Buu or Android 18.
In “Dragon Ball GT”, the devious Pilaf steals the Dragon Balls and asks Shenron to turn Goku back into a child. The anime, much criticized since its premiere, shares the same element with ‘Dragon Ball Daima’, the next audiovisual product of the franchise. The series will take place between the events of ‘Dragon Ball Z’ and ‘Dragon Ball Super’, although at the moment there are not too many details about the story beyond the fact that the protagonists will look like children because of a conspiracy. During the ‘Dragon Ball Battle Hour 2024′ event, a new action-packed trailer was shown, which you can watch below.
Son Goku, again small, carries his classic staff, the same one he used in the first period of the saga. The appearance of the character is similar to the original, although his style is slightly different. In addition, he does not wear a tail, one of the characteristics of the Saiyans that once caused some havoc. The video is 100% focused on little Kakarot, so we see him doing his thing, just like the kid he was back then. He has neither lost his appetite nor his will to fight, he meets friendly creatures and faces powerful monsters.
In “Dragon Ball Daima”, all the main characters are children
Unlike ‘Dragon Ball GT’, this new anime transforms other characters into children. Akira Toriyama, the original author, presented illustrations of the main characters: Krillin, Mr. Satan (without mustache), Android 18, Majin Buu and Chi-Chi... all have gone through the time tunnel and show their youth. There are differences to some of the younger versions we have seen in ‘Dragon Ball.’ For example, Goku’s wife wears the same bun she wore as an adult, a different hairstyle from the one she wore when we first met her in the pages of the original manga.
Dragon Ball Daima will premiere in the fall of 2024, in time for the 40th anniversary of the saga.
