Capcom’s newest game is quite the heavy-hitter in the graphics department, but how does Dragon’s Dogma 2 perform on every platform?

Dragons Dogma 2 análisis en progreso MeriStation

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2024. It should not surprise anyone, since it is the sequel to the cult RPG that Capcom launched back in the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation. The game launched today, March 22, its technical section is one of the elements that is being talked about the most these days.

As usual, YouTuber El Analista de Bits has already set to work to compare all of the versions of the game, analyze the technical details, and offer a summary of which one is the best version of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X - Dynamic 4K resolution and an average of between 35 and 45 FPS. On PS5, the game runs most of the time at 38 FPS, while on Xbox Series X it runs at 40. The PS5 version is slightly higher in draw distance and some visual details. Both have Ray Tracing.
  • Xbox Series S - 1440p resolution and an average of 35 FPS. It does not have Ray Tracing.
  • PC - It is the best version, but only if it is run on a very powerful computer. If the right conditions are met, the game can reach 100FPS and 4K resolution. Of course, the framerate is unlocked and just like on consoles, the figure goes up and down intermittently.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 review in progress on MeriStation

Capcom’s new RPG is so big and there are so many things to do in its open world that at MeriStation we have chosen to take our time with it. In fact, we have not yet given a grade to the review, because after playing about 25 hours we feel that it is necessary to dedicate a few more days to discover everything that the title offers. Of course, we can tell you that things are looking good; in our final impressions we are clear about the following:

“Only a last-minute problem can change our assessment. From what we have had so far we are delighted. It is an RPG that takes its systems seriously and applies them in a way that is unusual in the genre. Reminiscent of another time, in a good way. The biggest problem we found is the technical aspect. The framerate dances too much. Sometimes it is even annoying, at least in the version we have had access to (on PS5). Leaving it aside, we do not doubt that we are facing one of the best games of the year.”

Dragon’s Dogma released on March 22 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
