Equinox LATAM Game Awards to be held at the Brasil Game Show
The third edition of the awards ceremony will be held on the first day of the event and will announce the winners of several regional and global categories.
The fourteenth Brasil Game Show will be the stage for the third edition of the Equinox LATAM Game Awards, an event where the winners of the regional and global categories will be announced, in which Meristation is part of the editorial voting committee.
What is the Brasil Game Show?
Also known as BGS, this is one of the largest video game trade shows in the world in terms of attendance. Its first edition was held in 2009, this event has received more than 2.5 million visitors in all editions and currently brings together the most important companies in the category.
Awards for the best games of the year will be presented on opening day
On October 11, the best in the industry will be honored on the main stage. More than 40 categories, including developers, content creators, Spanish- and Portuguese-language studios, and the highly anticipated video game of the year, will be unveiled at the continent’s most important event.

Nominees and new judges to be announced soon
One of the changes this year is that there will be new guests, partners and judges to further democratize the voting.
An edition full of surprises
BGS will return this year with many new features, as visitors will be able to see eSports competitions such as the CS:GO Women’s Championship, game launches and other things related to the category. There will also be concerts such as the Video Game Orchestra and the Sonic Symphony, as well as personalities such as Nolan Bushnell (creator of Atari), Shota Nakama, Shawn Fonteno and Ned Luke, the latter two actors of GTA V, as well as Charles Martinet, Samantha Kelly and Kenny James (official voice actors of the Mario Bros. franchise).
When does the Brasil Game Show take place?
The show, which had more than 300 thousand visitors in its last edition and has already sold more than 90% of the tickets for the first day, will start on October 11th and end on October 15th at the Expo Center Norte, located at Rua José Bernardo Pinto, 333 - Vila Guilherme in the city of São Paulo, from 1:00 pm to 21:00 pm. In a format similar to Gamescom, the first day will be exclusive to the press and companies, as well as Premium Passport and Cabin Passport holders.
