The most recent episode of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 has been called historic by fans, with an extreme twist that marks a turning point in the series.

Historic. That’s how ‘Euphoria’ fans are describing the latest episode of season three. As things have been getting murkier—with drugs, money, and strip clubs thrown into the mix—it was clear that something big was going to happen… And finally, it did.
The following contains spoilers for the latest episode of ‘Euphoria.’ Stop reading right here if you haven’t seen it yet!

One of the most celebrated episodes in the history of ‘Euphoria’ SPOILERS
In the latest episode of ‘Euphoria,’ Naz (Jack Topalian) shows up at Cassie’s (Sydney Sweeney) house to demand repayment of a “loan” he made to Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi). The tension escalates into a violent confrontation that ends with none other than the death of Nate, one of the series’ most controversial characters.
Fans have been quick to take to social media to comment on the news. However, although they’re in shock, they aren’t exactly saddened by the death of a thoroughly despicable man. Blackmail, abuse, mistreatment, false accusations… Nate was far from an angel, so quite a few people have openly celebrated his death.

Sam Levinson, the show’s creator, was well aware that Nate’s death was actually something many fans had been hoping for. He recently said this in Esquire magazine: “There’s this kind of funny thing where I know what the audience wants in terms of justice or karma and with that in mind, I always think, ‘Well, how can I give it to them?’” he says. “How can I give them what they want, but make it so horrific and anxiety-inducing that by the time it happens, the audience isn’t so sure they wanted it?”
Levinson acknowledges that Nate’s death in Season 3 of ‘Euphoria’ was always part of the plan, as he knew his actions throughout the previous seasons couldn’t go unpunished.
