‘Fallout’ Season 3 expands its cast with three new actors joining its star-studded cast
The Prime Video adaptation continues to grow following its record-breaking success and early Season 3 renewal.
The ‘Fallout’ series on Prime Video has been one of the most pleasant surprises we’ve had in recent years. It’s an adaptation that, rather than simply replicating a story we already know, manages to expand—in its own way—a vast universe with many corners yet to be explored. Following a Season 2 that left us with another major cliffhanger, three new characters were revealed this afternoon who will be joining the Wasteland for Season 3.
Via the official Fallout X account (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom, Love and Amazing), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place, The Acolyte), and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit, Last Night in Soho) will join the series in as-yet-undisclosed roles, but who will undoubtedly become part of the various factions we’ve come to know over the course of the two seasons—or perhaps come from somewhere entirely new.
The ‘Fallout’ TV Adaptation: A Huge Success for Prime Video
The series has been a huge success; its first season alone racked up a total of 100 million views in October 2024, leading to Season 3 being greenlit in May 2025—even before Season 2 had begun.
Overall, the series has received very positive reviews. In our review of the first season, we noted that “one of the elements that makes ‘Fallout’ a great adaptation is that, as we mentioned at the beginning, the essence of the lore is what is being conveyed.” As for Season 2, we noted that “The series maintains its high production values, its respect for the lore, and that balance between humor, violence, and criticism that defines the franchise, while expanding its world with more factions and references, especially to New Vegas.”

For now, there is no release date for Season 3, which began production in Los Angeles earlier this month, so we can expect the series to premiere sometime in 2027.
