Prime Video renewed ‘Fallout’ for a third season ahead of Season 2 premiere
Season 2 will take viewers to New Vegas, as Prime Video confirmed that ‘Fallout’ will continue beyond 2025.

Amazon has officially renewed ’Fallout’ for a third season, well before the Season 2 premiere in December 2025. The announcement was made during Prime Video’s upfront presentation, where actors Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins appeared onstage to celebrate the show’s success.
Why did ’Fallout’ get an early renewal?
The decision comes after ’Fallout’ became one of Prime Video’s most-watched series, accumulating over 100 million viewers worldwide. The show ranks among the top three most-streamed titles on the platform, alongside ’The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’.
Amazon MGM Studios’ head of television, Vernon Sanders, praised the series, stating:
“Jonah [Nolan], Lisa [Joy], Geneva [Robertson-Dworet], and Graham [Wagner] have done an exceptional job bringing this beloved video game franchise to vivid life on Prime Video.”
What’s next for Fallout?
Season 2 will take viewers through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas, a setting familiar to fans of ’Fallout: New Vegas’. The showrunners have hinted at major surprises, promising that the upcoming seasons will expand the world in unexpected ways.
Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy expressed their excitement, saying:
“The holidays came a little early this year—we are thrilled to be ending the world all over again for a third season of ‘Fallout’."
With ’Fallout’ securing an early renewal, Prime Video is betting big on the post-apocalyptic franchise. Fans can expect Season 2 in December 2025, followed by Season 3 in 2026 or later.
