Two vast armies threaten to destroy the world of Men. Isengard and Mordor are ready to attack Middle-earth and rule it forever. Having escaped the influence of ¡Wormtongue, the king of Rohan has retreated to Helm’s Deep with the survivors of his people. The clash between Orcs and Men is now inevitable, but the war is not lost. In ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’ features the Battle of Helm’s Deep, a fierce and bloody struggle for survival. Now it has been recreated in great detail thanks to a LEGO diorama.

Rich-K and Big J are the authors of this impressive model, which recreates the battle in such a spectacular way. They have used 150,000 pieces and more than 1,700 miniatures, figures representing the combatants of each of the armies. It does not include the mountains in the background, but it does include the rocky sides that are characteristic of the place. The model is directly based on the design of Peter Jackson’s films, which can also be seen in the recent animated film ‘The War of the Rohirrim’, directed by Kenji Kamiyama.

The diorama design perfectly captures the weapons, catapults and ladders used by the Uruk Hai to scale the walls and enter the almost impregnable fortress. The Bastion of Rohan does, however, have a small design flaw, an opening that can be exploited with a sufficiently powerful explosive. The Elves on the battlements, the Uruk Hai fighting relentlessly, and the Men defending with all their might. In Tolkien’s novels, the elves never help Rohan in this battle, but Peter Jackson decided to change this part.
