Final Fantasy VII Rebirth shows off Cait Sith, Yuffie, Junon, combat, and more in new trailer

Square Enix has a new Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer to share, with quick looks at so far unseen elements of the sequel that are sure to excite fans.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is releasing extremely soon, with a little more than a month away from its exclusive launch on PlayStation 5, but that’s not stopping Square Enix from hyping up its arrival as much as possible. Today they released a new trailer titled ‘Destined for Rebirth’, which teases some of the more quirky characters we’ll meet, new areas to explore, and tons of other new features coming with the game.

Apart from the trailer above, the developers published an enormous blog post on their official site that goes into even more detail to everything new that is shown in the short teaser. You can find information on Cait Sith, a fan favorite character that only made a quick, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in Remake, Yuffie and her abilities in a fight, and a new member of the Turks that is set to make her debut.

A Destined battle is coming

Just a couple weeks ago, Square Enix shared some of the upcoming summons we’ll be able to find during the adventure, which revealed that Titan, Bahamut, and Phoenix will be making an appearance, all lending players their awesome power to defeat enemies in spectacular (if a little overkill) fashion.

As mentioned above, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5, and it’ll be available on February 29, 2024. The exclusivity is on par with what has been previously done by Square Enix, and while there is no definitive rejection of the game coming to other platforms, it’ll be a console exclusive for at least three months following the launch.
