How long to beat Final Fantasy 16
The duration of Final Fantasy XVI varies depending on what you want to do in the game. Are you looking to complete the main story and little else? Complete all the side quests and kill all the bosses? Trying out Final Fantasy Mode? Get all the trophies and unlock Platinum? There are very different numbers of hours for each question.
- Main Story only - It is possible to complete it in approximately 30 hours. The length doesn’t vary too much if you just focus on following the plot, since there are a lot of cutscenes and the room to level up isn’t too big.
- Story + Side Quests - If we add all the side quests to the equation, the duration will easily go up to the 60-hour mark, as you’ll have to pause the plot and revisit previous areas that you’ve already completed to accept and fulfill all quests.
- Complete all hunts - If you add the hunts to the story and secondary missions, the number of hours grows and you can place around 70 hours, since many monsters are above your level and you will need to prepare thoroughly by forging weapons, accessories and leveling up.
- Final Fantasy XVI Platinum Trophy - Here things change and we would be talking about almost 100 hours to get all the trophies. The reason is very clear: you need to do all of the above (main story, secondary missions, hunts...) and perform specific combat feats that will take you a while, but it is also necessary to complete Final Fantasy Mode (New Game Plus).
