First Fortnite Remix teaser: the long-awaited return to Chapter 2 is getting closer
Fortnite will return to Chapter 2 thanks to Rewind, a month-long mini-season that will mark the return to one of the popular video game’s most beloved eras.
The end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is just around the corner, and Epic Games has already started teasing the next stage of its popular video game. Remix will be Fortnite’s return to its beloved and remembered Chapter 2, so we’re in for a nostalgia-laden November, much like Fortnite: OG and its nostalgic return to Chapter 1 of the game.
Epic Games launches the first teaser of Fortnite Remix, the return to Chapter 2 of the game
Epic Games is starting to generate great expectations for the month of November 2024, because, similar to what happened in 2023, it plans to replace the map and the main modes of Fortnite for a whole month with a nostalgic return to Chapter 2 of the game. This project is called Fortnite Remix, and the first teaser has already been released:
It is a five-second clip that contains more information than it seems at first glance. Not only does it make this return to Chapter 2 official, but it also shows off some of the new remix outfits that will be available in the new Battle Pass. We can see, for example, a combination between Guff and Skye, and another mix between Midas and Meowscles.
Although there is currently no official date, Fortnite Remix is expected to kick off next Saturday, 2 November 2024 at 2:00 am ET, which is the same time that the still ongoing Chapter 5 Season 4 ends. This date and time is equivalent to the following times in the United States:
What was Fortnite: OG and what to expect in Fortnite Remix?
Fortnite: OG was a large, massive, month-long Fortnite event in which the game’s map changed each week to versions that reflected how the map originally looked during different seasons of the game’s Chapter 1, which took place between 2017 and 2019. These changes also occurred to the available weapons and items, which effectively affected the gameplay.
The Fortnite community received this initiative very well, where the most critical voices felt that the game had become too complex and confusing. As a result, the temporary return to a time when the game’s mechanics were simpler was extremely well received, resulting in a large spike in players.
