Fortnite: All the outfits and banned items on maps for all ages
We tell you what are all the outfits and items banned on maps classified for all ages in Fortnite.
After the arrival of its update 27.10, Fortnite bans the use of outfits and objects that use weapons or look intimidating on creative maps classified as suitable for all ages. Although this affects a small percentage of the outfits and items that can be used, we share a list of those that have been affected in this game mode.
These are the outfits and items that are banned on maps for all audiences in Fortnite
The introduction of Fortnite’s new age rating system has prompted Epic Games to completely ban the use of outfits and cosmetic items such as back blings, pick axes, or graffiti that depict firearms or have an intimidating or scary character. A section of the unofficial Fortnite.GG website lists exactly what these items are. This is the list of outfits banned on maps for all ages of Fortnite:
This list is always up-to-date and complete; over time, new nonconforming items are likely to be added to the list as they become available.
Using the various filters on this website, we can also see which accessories such as back clings, pickaxes, gliders, trails, and more are affected by this measure. As you can see, there are many collaborative outfits that come from video game sagas and action movies and therefore use weapons, such as Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil or the T-800 from the Terminator saga. For the time being, we will not be able to use these characters and certain accessories in Creative’s E-rated maps.
What do I do if I want to use a banned outfit on an all-ages Fortnite Creative Map?
We would like to remind you that we are currently unable to use a banned skin on an all-ages Fortnite map or mode, as the game will automatically change it to a default outfit for us.
When the measure was implemented, there were 132 banned outfits, and Epic Games estimates that this is about 7% of all outfits available in Fortnite as of today (November 16, 2023). However, the company proposes a peculiar solution: over the next year they will make most of these characters compatible with creative cards for all audiences by making their appearance self-adjusting, we understand by removing problematic elements such as firearms.
In other words, for now, there’s nothing we can do to play with banned outfits on Creative and UEFN E-rated maps and experiences. We will have to wait for Epic Games to gradually implement this policy for specific outfits on the banned list.
