Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1: Every new weapon in the game
We’ll show you all of the new weapons coming to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, better known as “Underground”.
Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 5 comes loaded with all sorts of updates to the game, which of course includes new weapons being added to the armory. In this article we’ll share with you what the new weapons of Underground are, which can now be modified using Mod Benches.
New for Fortnite Chapter 5: weapon Mods
One of the big news about weapons starting with Season 1 of Chapter 5 of Fortnite is that now you can modify them and place different mods on them. These accessories such as sights of different magnifications, drum magazines, silencers, and more affect the performance of each weapon.
To modify weapons you will have to access the Mod Benches inside vaults. Here you can attach different accessories to your weapons in exchange for gold bars. Of course, keep in mind that not all mods are compatible with all weapons.
Besides, each weapon already has some mods as standard depending on its rarity:
- Uncommon Weapons (green): already have a mod.
- Rare Weapons (blue): They already have two mods.
- Epic Weapons (purple): They already have three mods.
- Legendary Weapons (orange): They already have four mods.
All the new weapons in Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 5
- Grapple Blade: It works similarly to the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Team from Attack on Titan’. You just aim at a solid surface or at another player and, when you shoot, you will move there with the hook. If you lock onto a player you can attack them with the blade to deal melee damage.
- Frenzy Auto Shotgun
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Ballistic Shield- Shield with infinite health but can only take a limited amount of damage before temporarily falling. It includes a gun that allows you to attack from a distance. In addition, you can also charge with it at enemies to inflict damage and push them or to knock down and destroy structures.

- Cluster Clinger: explosive that generates more explosives. When you throw a Cluster Clinger on a surface or on a player you will see how, after a few seconds, it divides into smaller explosives.
