Fortnite is getting an ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ collaboration in the game’s next season
Datamining has revealed an upcoming ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ event and battle pass to release in the next Fortnite season.
Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 5 hasn’t started yet, but thanks to an oversight by Epic Games we know that there will be a collaboration with ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, the Netflix live-action series based on the animated series of the same name. We’ll tell you everything we know about this collaboration which will arrive in the middle of the upcoming season through a mini event/mini battle pass.
Datamining has revealed a collaboration with ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ in Fortnite
In the Fortnite API we have been able to verify that there are references to an upcoming collaboration with ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’. This is everything we know so far:
- The collaboration will consist of a mini battle pass with Quests to fulfill in order to advance and unlock rewards, as happened with the the ninja turtles.
- By completing sets of Quests we get Books; getting all six Books you get the Appa Glider.
- Aang Fortnite Style is an outfit that is obtained automatically when purchasing the premium pass which would cost 1,800 V-Bucks. It also comes with a LEGO Style.
- The finish date of the ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ minipass would be May 3, 2024. This would also be the end date of the next season.
The ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ collaboration takes advantage of the premiere of the Netflix series on February 22, 2024: A live-action adaptation of the animated series of the same name that originally broadcasted between 2005 and 2008. We don’t know when exactly this collaboration will arrive but it’s been revealed that this will be a Mid-Season event..
It can also be assumed that, as has happened with similar events like ‘TMNT’, ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, new outfits from ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ like Katara and Sokka might arrive in the store as part of this collaboration.
What is ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ about?
‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ is set in a fictional world with a lot of influence from a variety of Asian cultures. In its universe, some people can manipulate one of the four basic elements: water, air, earth, and fire. Only one individual, the Avatar, has the power to manipulate all four at once., and it is their duty to maintain peace between the four great nations of the planet.
Aang is a twelve-year-old boy and he is both the last survivor of the Air Nomads, his nation, and the current reincarnation of the Avatar. Together with their friends Katara, Sokka, and Toph, they fight against the Fire Nation to prevent it from conquering the entire world.
