It's free!
Free games for this weekend (July 28 - 30)
The weekend has arrived and with it, a bunch of new games going free to claim or try. Here are some of the biggest ones we’ve found for July 28 to 30.
New weekend, new wave of good deals in some of the biggest gaming platforms available today. Between the 28 and the 30 of July you’ll be able to find some good opportunities of discovering great games to play without having to pay a single dollar. As is usual by now, most of these titles are available on either PC or the Xbox ecosystem, so take a look if you have either of them.
Homeworld: Remaster Collection and Severed Steel for PC
After bringing us The Elder Scrolls Online for free, the Epic Games Store has done a new rotation of titles with two new games to offer to everyone for free. You have until August 3 to claim at no additional cost both Homeworld: Remaster Collection and Severed Steel. Once you do, they’ll stay in your library for that platform permanently.
Homeworld: Remaster Collection is an amazing gathering of one of the most legendary RTS franchises in the history of videogames, placing you in control of powerful fleets of spaceships to make war against hostile factions of the far future, and perhaps more than one inconceivable cosmic horror that threatens to destroy it all.
Severed Steel is an absolute hidden gem of the fps genre, falling in line with the movement shooter style of game that’ll have you jumping, sliding, and shifting through destructible levels while raining a hail of bullets onto your enemies. This one is hard to miss, so make sure you give it a try.
Xbox Free Game Days: For Honor, Tropico 6, Speedstorm…
Xbox’s free game days are back once again this week, giving Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers the chance to try out four different titles from now until July 30. All progress made and achievements unlocked during this time will be permanent in your player profile, so you can continue playing if you choose to buy the games afterwards.
