‘Furiosa’ gets an action-packed new trailer that teases vengeance and war in the wasteland
Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star opposite of each other in the newest trailer for ‘Furiosa’.
There are few films in the history of cinema that have had the rhythm of ‘Fury Road’. The fourth installment of the ‘Mad Max’ saga was so masterful that it won six Oscars and broke long-standing Hollywood taboos regarding action and science fiction films. George Miller created an exciting work that made you hold your breath for two hours and that is precisely the philosophy of the new and exciting trailer for ‘Furiosa’.
This spin-off to the ‘Mad Max Saga’ will star Anya Taylor-Joy (‘The Queen’s Gambit’, ‘The Witch’) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor in the Marvel Universe), and will arrive in theaters on May 24, 2024 (eight and a half years after ‘Fury Road’) and from what is seen in its new trailer it will be amounts of action like few have seen before.
“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus” reads its synopsis. “Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
For the occasion, George Miller has reunited his avengers, or what is the same, the team that helped him win six statuettes from the Academy. From Nico Lathouris as co-writer to Margaret Sixel as editor, Lesley Vanderwal in makeup, and Colin Gibsol in production and set design. It’s normal that he boasts a similar photography and color palette as its predecessor, which, together with that post-apocalyptic world full of personality and those chases and sequences, they are well worth the price of entry.
