Where to watch Dune: Part 2? How long will it be in cinemas and where will it be available to stream?

‘Dune: Part 2′ has swiftly become the biggest release of 2024 in movie theaters around the world, so here’s how you can enjoy it, even if you miss it in theaters.

Update:
Dune Parte 2

Dune: Part 2′ has been a huge success with critics and the public. The second installment of the Denis Villeneuve saga that adapts the literary work of Frank Herbert, a true science fiction classic, is exceeding all expectations, and its not like we had small hopes after the first part. The nearly three-hour movie is well on its way to becoming the biggest release of 2024, but even so, some are still wondering how they can watch it.

Whether they’re waiting for it to come to home formats, or still hoping to catch it in theaters before it goes away, Villeneuve’s second entry into its Dune trilogy is worth the time of anybody looking to enjoy the film. Here’s how you can watch it too.

Is Dune: Part 2 still in theaters?

Dune: Part 2 released in theaters around the world on Friday, March 1, 2024. It’s undoubtedly become a total success in the box office, with critics praising it for its cinematography, even comparing it to Lord of the Rings. While we don’t have an exact date for when it’ll be removed, we’re pretty certain that the movie should remain in theaters for at least a couple of weeks more.

The movie still dominates every IMAX screen around the country and should remain as such for at least a few more weeks as no other blockbuster of its caliber is planned for release (other than Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire).

When will Dune: Part 2 be available to stream at home?

Dune: Part 2 is still in theaters, and will probably be there for a while more. As such there is still no confirmed date for when it could arrive for streaming. What we know is that it’ll eventually be available to stream on Max, which is Warner Bros. Discovery’s own streaming platform. The CEO of the company, David Zaslav, stated that Dune: Part 2 would debut on the platform “sometime in the spring”, but no more details were revealed.

Typically, movies wait at least 45 days since their debut in theaters before coming to other formats. That includes streaming (or Video-On-Demand), digital, and physical formats. As such, at the earliest, you could expect Dune Part 2 to arrive to streaming on April 15, 2024.
