Game of Thrones
'Game of Thrones', a love triangle between Arya, Jon and Tyrion? This was George R.R. Martin's original version
In this outline, the youngest Lannister and the bastard Stark had a fierce rivalry for the love of the girl.

Sometimes the real world and the fantasy world mix. Reality too often trumps fiction, so sibling relationships may be rare, but they have occurred throughout history. For example, in Ptolemaic Egypt, pharaohs married their sisters and vice versa. And when we talk about Westeros, things get out of hand. The twins Cersei and Jaime Lannister not only maintained a loving relationship, but also fathered several children. The Targaryens used to marry their siblings to keep the dragon blood intact. In ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, the novel on which Game of Thrones is based, George R.R. Martin envisioned a love triangle between Arya Stark, her bastard brother Jon Snow, and Tyrion Lannister.
According to Martin’s original idea, Arya was in love with Jon from the first page of the novel. “Arya will be more forgiving ... until she realizes, with terror, that she has fallen in love with Jon, who is not only her half-brother but a man of the Night’s Watch, sworn to celibacy,” the author commented. In this version, Tyrion Lannister formed a bond with both Sansa and Arya, to the point where the Lannister eventually fell in love with the little Stark.

Tyrion, unrequited love and deadly rivalry
In this discarded version, Tyrion - exiled and deprived of all his privileged relatives - joined the North and fell in love with Arya. Given the situation, the relationship between Jon and Tyrion became strained. “Their passion will continue to torment Jon and Arya throughout the trilogy, until the secret of Jon’s true parentage is finally revealed in the last book.” George R.R. Martin then assured that Tyrion’s love for Arya was unrequited, which would not have prevented the rivalry between the two men.
Another character who had a different destiny was Jaime Lannister, originally conceived as the King of the Seven Kingdoms and the main villain of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’.
