Update:

One of the most anticipated games at the Xbox Games Showcase was Gears of War: E-Day, which was finally revealed in all its glory following its announcement in 2024. This highly anticipated prequel to the series will put us in the shoes of much younger versions of Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, during the early days of the Locust invasion that forever changed the fate of the planet Sera. And the best news of all: the game already has a confirmed release date, arriving on October 6, 2026 and will be an Xbox exclusive. Let the Lancers rumble.

The most spectacular and dramatic Gears of War experience

One of the most beloved franchises in the Xbox catalog returns with an installment that takes us back to the infamous Day of the Emergence—the day when a race of ruthless creatures known as the Locusts emerged from the ground simultaneously across the entire planet. In just 24 hours, they managed to wipe out 25% of the world’s population, causing irreparable damage that the first Gears of War showed us from the perspective of a world already devastated, fourteen years after the catastrophe.
