Giancarlo Esposito wants to play Professor X in ‘X-Men’, but he’d leave the wheelchair behind

The charismatic actor from ‘The Mandalorian’, ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Far Cry 6′ and many roles more wishes to be part of Marvel, although he has some ideas about it.

It is not the first time that actor Giancarlo Esposito has made it clear that he would like to join a hypothetical new ‘X-Men’ movie. He is so clear that he even has in mind the character he would love to play: none other than Charles Xavier, better known as Professor X. Of course, the idea he has for the character is very different from the vision that everyone has of him.

It turns out that Esposito would be delighted to put himself in the shoes of Professor X, without a wheelchair! At first, it is logical to think that it makes no sense, but the charismatic actor has everything thought out and shared hisidea: What if Professor X didn’t always need a wheelchair and could walk normally? He has also joked that if he is not convinced by the idea of performing in a wheelchair, it is because he does not feel “so old” and he does not like to always sit down.

Of course, farfetched as it may sound, this is actually quite possible now thanks to the latest X-Men timeline in the main Marvel Comics series. While the version we all remember is the psychic that can’t walk, after the character’s death during the ‘House of M’ arc, Charles Xavier was ressurrected in a younger body. Ever since, he’s been walking on-and-off, with even its latest iteration being a version of him that was never paralized also being one of his most powerful versions, as leader of the entire Mutant race from their living island of Krakoa.
