State of Play

God of War Ragnarok gets a release date for PC with many new features and graphic options

God of War Ragnarok is only a few months away from arriving on PCs, but when it does it’ll launch with visual upgrades and the DLC with it.

Update:
God of War Ragnarok

It was an open secret, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting. One of the announcements of the State of Play of May 30 was the confirmation of God of War Ragnarok coming to PC, with which we even got a release date and everything. Kratos’ Norse epic will finally arrive on PCs on September 19, 2024, two years after the original launch, but it will come loaded with a good number of technical innovations (compatibility with Nvidia DLSS 3.7, with ultra-wide monitors and AMD FSR 3.1, etc.). You can see all the details in its presentation trailer.

About the game, what to say that you don’t already know. Ragnarok is another masterpiece of the saga that puts an end to the Asgard story and that in this version for PC also will arrive with the incredible Valhalla expansion at launch.

Sony changes its strategy with PS5 exclusives on PC

Just a few hours ago, Hermen Hulst, one of the new CEOs of PlayStation at Sony, spoke about the brand’s launches on PC and clarified several points. Hulst has promised that their future “games as a service” will continue on the steps of Helldivers 2: every live-service game will launch simultaneously on PS5 and PC, but single-player titles, most of which are focused on narratives and emotional experiences, are designed to be released on console first. They will eventually make it to PCs, but according to the director, they’ll only do so years later and with the sole intention of encouraging its buyers to purchase a future sequel on PS5.
