Good news for “Arcane” fans: Riot confirms brutally exciting new release
The series will have its own novel, a prequel with the characters that have made half the world fall in love.
Our hearts still ache after the second season of ‘Arcane’ and all that its ending implies. And although Netflix and Riot Games have promised new animated series based on League of Legends (everything points to the next ones taking us to Noxus, Ionia and Demacia), we are still clinging to the memory of Vi, Jinx and company. That’s why we were so happy to hear the announcement of a new novel featuring the characters of ‘Arcane’.
‘Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf’, the official novel of ‘Arcane’
Written by the highly acclaimed author C.L. Clark, the novel will be called ’Chosen of the Wolf’ and will feature Ambessa Medarda, Mel’s mother. Although it will be a prequel set ten years before the series, it is known that many characters from the series will appear, such as Mel herself. It will arrive on March 20 in bookstores around the world, and its synopsis reads as follows:
“Medarda above all. Ambessa Medarda: warrior, general, mother. She is a woman who instills awe and Medarda is unrivaled in her quest for glory. She has led conquests and armies. She has defeated legendary beasts. She has made grave sacrifices in her rise through the ranks. And for this she was rewarded: she crossed into the realm of death and received a vision of herself on the throne of the vast Noxian empire.
But before leading her empire, she must become the head of her own clan. However, the title is disputed by her cousin and former confidant, Ta’Fik, who knows all the bloody sins of Ambessa’s past and knows he cannot allow her to ascend. The two will wage war for the very soul of the Medarda. But this war will not be fought only on the battlefields. Ambessa’s daughter, Mel, can pierce the walls of any heart with her skill and she will not hesitate to use that talent to help her mother.”
