GTA 6 as you’ve never seen it before: Full-quality trailer reveals previously hidden details

Although there is no new trailer for GTA 6 in 2024, fans of the long-awaited video game from Rockstar Games have not been idle and have found a diamond in the rough: a version in the highest possible quality of the first trailer for this title, originally released in December 2023. This strange discovery is not only an opportunity to bide our time until the release of Grand Theft Auto VI in 2025, but also serves to appreciate details that were practically unnoticeable until now, such as wrinkles and stretch marks on its protagonists.

GTA VI fans were expecting Rockstar to follow a similar schedule to GTA V, so they were counting on a second trailer to be released before the end of 2024, showing more about this long-awaited title that will arrive at the end of 2025. However, despite the absence of a new trailer, fans of the saga are satisfied with a very particular finding: the official upload of the first trailer of GTA 6 on the Chinese platform BiliBili, which has a higher bitrate than the one uploaded to YouTube at the end of 2023 and that suggests that the game looks much better than we thought, showing details such as high quality textures.

While the video uploaded to YouTube has a bitrate of around 10,000 kbps, the video uploaded to BiliBili has a bitrate of around 17,000 kbps, almost double the quality. This means that the GTA VI trailer on BiliBili is the highest quality official gameplay video available to the public, allowing screenshots and in-game footage to be taken at unbeatable quality. Although you need a premium account to access the video itself, a user who paid for the service has seen fit to download it and upload it to Google Drive. Although this video was uploaded to BiliBili in December 2023 along with the YouTube original, the game’s community “unearthed” it in the early hours of December 30, 2024. Following its appearance, GTA fans have not stopped talking about it and aspects such as the high level of detail of its characters, including elements such as stretch marks and arm hair on Lucia, the female protagonist, and age marks and wrinkles on the male protagonist. Grand Theft Auto VI is not only the biggest and most ambitious GTA to date, but also the most realistic.

These details did not surprise many players, who recalled that the last major release of the company, Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018), already had elements that bordered on sickening in their thoroughness, including the modeling of the testicles of the game’s horses.
