GTA 6 pre-orders are set to open very soon: Best Buy sets off alarm bells and reignites hype for the third trailer
The retailer’s announcement coincides with Take-Two’s upcoming investor meeting, which is a good sign.
Many fans had speculated that the third trailer for GTA 6 might be released earlier this week, but that didn’t end up happening. However, Best Buy has just given fans new hope with an announcement that has sent hype soaring over a highly likely upcoming announcement from Rockstar.
Several customers affiliated with this U.S. retail chain reported that they received an email announcing that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will open next week, with a campaign running from May 18 to 21. If true, this would mean that the much-rumored third trailer for the game could be released in a few days, kicking off Rockstar’s marketing campaign.

GTA 6 Trailer 3 Could Be Released Before May 21
Another detail that supports this possibility is the fact that Take-Two will hold its next investor meeting on May 21. If the company releases a new GTA 6 trailer before that meeting, it could finally provide details on the revenue it expects to generate in fiscal year 2027. Everything seems to fit perfectly, though we can’t rule out the possibility that this could also be a mistake on Best Buy’s part.
In addition to announcing the start of pre-orders, the new GTA trailer also serves to confirm once and for all that the game will put its delays behind it and launch on November 19. And as a result, it’s very likely that Rockstar will finally settle the debate over how much the most anticipated video game of the past decade will cost. Will it end up being $100, or will it ultimately sell for $70?
