GTA 6 says "no" to delays and confirms its release window on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
Take-Two has announced the release window for GTA 6 in the 2025 calendar at its latest investor meeting.
The doubts surrounding GTA 6′s release date continue to dissipate. The latest stone in the road was seen as part of Take Two’s results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 (Q1/25). The publisher confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released sometime in the fall of 2025. The platforms remain the same: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Recall that PC versions of Rockstar games usually arrive during the commercial cycle of the games. At the moment only its first trailer is the only footage we have.
The news is one of the key points of the summary that the publisher has shared with its investors. Take-Two is well aware of the importance of sending a strong message about its launch, and although the date is not yet set in stone, it is clear that its commitment is that it will not arrive beyond the 2025 calendar. Despite the rumors, those responsible for the game reject any kind of delay.
GTA 6, the most important release in the industry this decade
There is no doubt that the arrival of GTA 6 is the most important release in the video game industry this decade. 11 years separate us from the release of its predecessor, which managed to surpass 200 million copies sold throughout its cycle. Three console generations have seen the arrival of their respective versions of GTA 5, a movement that has always been in the wake of the GTA Online universe and its constant evolution over the months. It is clear that the new installment will leave the rush aside: it will land in stores when it is really ready.
