The lack of new information about the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 makes us feel like it’s been 84 years since the first trailer, and it’s barely been 6 months. We’ve already reviewed everything that’s happened since that moment that stopped the world in its tracks and let us see this new version of Vice City in all its glory. Wow, fans have reviewed every inch of this trailer and even maps have been released. However, and in the face of all possible speculation, the latest GTA Online update, Bottom Dollar Bounties, has a whole connection to this new installment, bringing something from the new game to the current installment.
A small detail from the GTA 6 trailer has been added to GTA Online
This discovery comes courtesy of Redditor DogWifDreads, who noticed that one of the necklaces seen in the first GTA 6 trailer has been added as one of the accessories in the new GTA 5 online mode update. “Dunno if anyone else has caught this, but I was rewatching a trailer breakdown and I noticed that the necklaces seen here in the trailer have been added in GTAO with the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC,” DogWifDreads said.
The necklace can be found as the Silver Layered Necklace in the necklaces section and is item 23 of 98 in that category. This necklace can be seen on the girl in the white swimsuit at the second 00:38 of the trailer.
Although this is an interesting reference to the next title in the series, and some users mention that it is finally a release that is not trying to be a forced connection to the game, there are those who think that “whatever the price of this necklace is, it might mean something.” In previous months, GTA Online fans have made very forced connections to announcements about the game as supposed clues to a GTA 6 announcement, which, we must remember, led to absolutely nothing.
For now, we can only wait for Rockstar Games to release more updates related to the game, or just keep counting the days until we have a definitive release date, which will be in the fall 2025.
