Harrison Ford praises Troy Baker’s work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: “A brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it.”
The veteran actor was the first to rave about Baker’s work as Indy.

Harrison Ford will soon return to the big screen as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross/Red Hulk in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, but not so long ago we enjoyed his presence in video games thanks to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game from Machine Games, creators of the recent Wolfenstein, casts a young Ford in the role of the most popular archaeologist and adventurer in screen history, as the story takes place between the first two films, though the veteran actor did not lend his voice. Instead, it was the prolific Troy Baker who did, with a fantastic result that even Ford himself could not resist praising.
And without the need for AI, the actor insists, Baker has managed to capture the essence of Indy to perfection. “You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul,” said Harrison Ford in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. “You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent. He did a brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it.”

Baker’s resume left no doubt that he could do a good job as Indiana Jones. The popular voice actor has worked on The Last of Us (Joel), Uncharted 4 (Sam Drake), Infamous: Second Son (Delsin Rowe), Batman Arkham Origins (Joker), Final Fantasy XIII (Snow), Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor (Talion), Death Stranding (Higgs), and the list goes on. Almost nothing.
One of the great adventures of 2024
Others who dispelled doubts were the British Machine Games with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, developing one of the great adventures of the past 2024. “It has exceeded all our expectations. The choice of the first person, far from being a problem, fits into the gameplay scheme designed by Machine Games, which, without abandoning the action, has created a fascinating adventure full of mysteries, puzzles and lost temples”, said our colleague Borja Ruete in his analysis.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is now available on the Xbox Series and PC and can be enjoyed through the Game Pass catalog. It will also be coming to PS5 this spring.
