Harrison Ford was one of the stars of The Game Awards 2024 gala, where he served as host to announce who would take home the award for Best Performance. His appearance on stage also served to celebrate the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a title as long-awaited as it is acclaimed, with Troy Baker providing the voice of Indy in the English version.

The popular actor asked for a round of applause for both Troy Baker and Todd Howard, not before congratulating Baker for nailing his performance as Indiana Jones in the game, joking, “If I knew you were that good, I would have done it myself”. But his funniest moment came when it was time to announce the winner of the TGA 2024 Best Performance award: Melina Juergens, for lending her voice and face to the protagonist of Senua’s saga: Hellblade II. It was one of the most curious moments of the gala, not only because of Ford’s performance, but also because of the hilarious gaffe. For many, the moment was reminiscent of the 2014 Oscars gala, when John Travolta mispronounced Idina Menzel’s name as “Adele Dazeem,” leading to all kinds of jokes and memes about it.
