Helldivers 2 gets a release date for a new Premium Warbond with new weapons, armor, and more
The devs behind Helldivers 2 are getting ready for the first content drop coming to the game, which includes new weapons and armors.
Helldivers 2 players, reinforcements are already on their way. Not only are we waiting on a variety of updates for the game that include mechs and vehicles, but the devs at Arrowhead Game Studios have revealed today a new Premium Warbond that will be available in the game in only a few days.
Called “Cutting Edge”, this new Warbond will allow players to unlock more options for their arsenal, this time with a technological theme that includes “ultra-futuristic armour, guns that spit lightning, super stylish capes and epic emotes.”
When is the new Warbond coming to Helldivers 2, and how much will it cost?
Cutting Edge is arriving to the game on March 14, 2024. While there is still no pricing announced for the new Warbond, it is expected to have a cost 1,000 SuperCredits in-game, just as the previous premium version of the Warbond. Remember that while you’re able to purchase more SuperCredits with real money transactions, you can also use the SCs obtained in the game through missions or the other Warbonds to get this one.
What will the new Warbond include?
The Cutting Edge Warbond includes a variety of weapons, armor, capes and emotes that players can get in exchange for medals, which are obtained by completing missions and objectives in regular play. Below is a list of weapons coming with this content drop:
- LAS-16 Sickle (laser burst rifle)
- SG-8P Punisher Plasma (exploding plasma shotgun)
- ARC-12 Blitzer (close-range lightning and long range electric bolts)
- G-23 Stun grenade
- LAS-7 Dagger (laser pistol)
Apart from that, the EX Series Prototype armors will be available to unlock in the same way, but no details about their stats or perks have been revealed yet.
