House of the Dragon: George R.R. Martin promises to write about “everything that's gone wrong”

In his latest blog post, A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin has stated that there are things to talk about in his recent spin-off.

The Game of Thrones universe has always been controversial. Its most recent spin-off, ‘House of the Dragon’, recently concluded its second season, disappointing most of its fans with an episode that was the second lowest rated in the franchise’s history. So much so that even the creator and author of the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire book series, George R. R. Martin, has something to say about it.

In his latest personal blog post, the Game of Thrones author made it clear that among all the things he has yet to write, talking about what went wrong with the latest spin-off is on the list. “I do not look forward to other posts I need to write, about everything that’s gone wrong with HOUSE OF THE DRAGON... but I need to do that too, and I will. Not today, though.”

The author has not yet announced when he will publish these opinions, although it seems that this will have to wait, since in addition to the thousands of emails waiting for him upon his arrival, he contracted the coronavirus on his recent trip.

House of the Dragon Season 2: Much anticipation for little war

It is understandable that even Martin himself did not like season 2 of this spin-off so much. Although it had its moments, much of what was expected was to see the battles of the famous Civil War for the Iron Throne. However, it was more of a setup and moving of chips with the occasional big battle in between. Or maybe Martin, as the creator, saw more details that were not to his liking. Anyway, we will have to wait and see what he writes about this season in his blog.
