The Targaryens are at war. The usurper Aegon II, crippled and suffering from terrible aftereffects, has fled King’s Landing. Meanwhile, Rhaenyra Targaryen is preparing to claim the throne. A clash of dragons is inevitable. The war has only just begun. Its final trailer showcases the battles to come and the consequences of so many years of war. From the Battle of the Gullet to the conflict involving dragons, the trailer focuses more on the clashes and their outcomes than on the politics we’ve seen over the past two seasons. Rhaenyra Targaryen is determined to do whatever it takes to reclaim her rightful throne, which Aegon no longer holds, and now has Aemond Targaryen as the new regent king.
