How many episodes and seasons will ‘Dune: Prophecy’, the Max series, have?

The upcoming prequel series based on the Dune universe already has a release date for its first season. We check out its details and its future.

The premiere of ‘Dune: Prophecy’, the series that will take us into the past of the world of ‘Dune’, long before the birth of its hero: Paul Atreides, is fast approaching. This prequel series, set 10,000 years before the events of the main Dune films, Dune: Prophecy will explore the origins of the powerful Bene Gesserit sisterhood. The series focuses on the Harkonnen sisters, Valya and Tula, and their rise to power through political manipulation and covert schemes. With a premiere date and a new trailer just released during New York Comic Con, we are all hype and doubt what we will get with this series.

How many episodes will ‘Dune: Prophecy’ have?

Regarding the number of episodes the series will have, it has been announced from the beginning that this production will have a total of 6 episodes. It will be a much shorter season than what we are used to from HBO, whose series have remained between 8 and 10 episodes per season.

How many seasons will ‘Dune: Prophecy’ have?

For now, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ has only been announced for one season. Recently, Collider had an interview with some of the show’s talent at New York Comic Con, where showrunner Alison Schapker commented, “We do have a plan, and they were eager to hear all of it,” while actress Olivia Williams mentioned, “They also say they haven’t destroyed the set in Hungary, so that’s always a good sign. It is worth remembering that some MAX series, such as House of the Dragon, have confirmed their seasons gradually, so as always in these cases, we will have to wait if this prequel series will be expanded.

When will Dune Prophecy be released?

Finally, let’s not forget that ‘Dune: Prophecy’ will premiere on HBO in less than a month, on November 17th.
