How to play the Mortal Kombat 1 Beta: date and platforms

Mortal Kombat 1 was just announced alongside a Beta. Here are all the details about it, from dates and times, to everything revealed so far.

Mortal Kombat 1 has been officially revealed, and it’s coming sooner than expected. The new dawn of the fighting game franchise is scheduled to land on September 19 on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), and Nintendo Switch. But before that date, NetherRealm will give its fans the opportunity to try a preview of the game. Here are all of the first details about its highly anticipated beta.

Mortal Kombat 1 Beta: Everything We Know

You should keep in mind that The Mortal Kombat 1 beta will only be held on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Although the final game will also debut on Nintendo Switch and PC, the studio will only be targeting next-gen audiences. To access the Beta you will have to pre-order the game, although for the moment, the stores that will offer the game in physical format have not been confirmed, but in digital format you will receive it automatically. Whichever edition you buy will guarantee your access.

The beta is expected to be held in August, that is, a month before the release of the final version. Currently, it has not been revealed what content it will offer players or the exact day of publication.; we will have to wait for communications from NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Games in the coming weeks.

When pre-ordering the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S not only will you guarantee your entry into the beta: you will also receive as exclusive DLC the possibility of playing as Shang Tsung. The fighter will only come to the game as a pre-order bonus, although there’s always the possibility of him being released as post-launch paid content.

The Mortal Kombat 1 pre-ordering campaign will begin on May 19. Only four months separate us from its launch, and three for its beta. The soft reboot/sequel is fast approaching.
