The latest addition to the Legendary universe of Godzilla, Kong, and many monsters more releases today, November 17, 2023, on Apple TV, and apart from the previously mentioned King of the Monsters many more are expected to make an appearance during this new series.

The story of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters centers on two siblings who are on the trail of their father, suspecting that their family has a link to Monarch, the secret organization dedicated to investigating the Titans, the monstrous creatures that inhabit the Earth.

When does Monarch: Legacy of Monsters release and how to watch it?

As mentioned above, the show premieres today, Friday November 17, 2023, through Apple TV+. The show will have 10 episodes total, starring Kurt Russel, Wyatt Russell, Kiersey Clemons, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, Elisa Lasowski, and many more.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is an Apple exclusive, which means that if you want to watch it you’ll have to be an Apple TV+ subscriber. You can always get a free trial for the service if you’re not yet subscribed, although at only $9.99 per month, it is one of the cheaper monthly subs you can find among the various streaming services.

As of right now, only the first episode of the show has been released. New episodes will premiere every Friday from now until the series finale on January 12, 2024.

What is the MonsterVerse?

Although some of the characters and monsters that appear have many years of history behind them (King Kong is almost a hundred years old and Godzilla first appeared in 1954), the term MonsterVerse was officially unveiled in 2014, the year in which Godzilla by Gareth Edwards was released. The next movie of this kind of monster crossover is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, whose release date is scheduled for 2024, and its trailer left us wanting to see more of it.
