Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has an incredible homage to the original movie
Still need something to convince yourself to play the newest adventure of Professor Jones? Just look at the prologue in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.

The adventure continues. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes place just one year after ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, the first film starring the most famous archaeologist in cinema...and maybe also video games now. The MachineGames title tells an original story in which Indy will have to travel around the world to unravel a new mystery. In 1937, the Nazis are still at work, tracking down the most powerful and dangerous ancient artifacts imaginable. Meanwhile, Professor Jones continues to have nightmares about what he experienced the previous year. The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus studio takes advantage of that moment to pay an exciting tribute to Steven Spielberg’s film.
This piece contains spoilers for the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle prologue.
This is the tribute to ‘The Lost Ark’ in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The prologue of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle corresponds to one of the most iconic moments from ‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark’, when Indy travels to Peru to enter the jungle and recover the Chachapoyan Idol of Fertility, which is located inside the Temple of the Chachapoyan Warriors. The archaeologist travels in the company of several local guides who lead him to the place, but one of them betrays him almost immediately. Despite everything, Indy manages to survive and continues his investigation. The video game reproduces that entire adventure exactly, as can be seen in the comparison below published by IGN.

Satipo and Indiana Jones reach the heart of the temple and take the idol, although, of course, nothing is easy when it comes to ancient relics. The area is full of traps and the enclosure begins to collapse as soon as the archaeologist takes his loot in his hands. It is then that the second guide betrays him, although his greed does not go too far.
