Is the God of War Ragnarok DLC worth it: All you need to know about it

One of the biggest surprises at The Game Awards 2023 was the triumphant return of Kratos. Although it was not a new title in the Santa Monica studio’s series, it caught the audience’s attention. Under the name God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, the PlayStation studio announced this new update that would arrive on December 12. If you have any doubts about what it is or what it contains, stay tuned.

What does God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla include?

This DLC adds a new roguelite-style game mode to God of War Ragnarok, where Kratos must face hordes of random enemies as he makes his way through Valhalla, a brand-new location in this Norse tale.

Valhalla makes us go through this special place in Norse mythology to face the enemies, while we get several resources to improve Kratos. As a good Roguelite, besides having random enemies, each run offers different perks, runic attacks, and glyphs to choose from as we progress, as well as weapons that alter aspects such as attack, defense, luck, among other stats, of Kratos.

How to access God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla?

First, you need to download it to your console. This DLC is for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and it’s a matter of downloading it directly from the game’s start menu. Once downloaded (it is about 7.6 GB) Valhalla will be accessible even if you have not finished the game, although it is a story that takes place after the story of the main game, it is an experience for those who have already finished the story of Ragnarok with a narrative load full of details that are spoilers.

How much does God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla cost?

One of the big surprises is that this is a completely free DLC, which is surprising considering the narrative load it contains.
