Ubisoft

It hasn’t been released yet, but Assassin’s Creed Shadows has already revealed its first story expansion

Claws of Awaji will be available to those who pre-order the game, as leaked on Steam.

Assassin's Creed Shadows

Exploring feudal Japan is one of the dreams of many fans of the saga, but we will have to wait a little longer to enter the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The new production of Ubisoft Quebec was scheduled for 2023, but its release was delayed until February 14. Now, the company has decided to postpone its arrival for another month because they need time to fine-tune the quality of the product. Just when they have announced it, on the game’s Steam page they have smuggled the existence of a first expansion. Although they have already deleted it, they did not arrive in time and the information has spread.

According to these first details, players who pre-order the game will receive the additional mission “Thrown to the Dogs”, but also the expansion “The Claws of Awaji”. In total, players will be able to dive into a new story with about 10 hours of content: “Feel the fear of being hunted and under threat on a mysterious island. Reclaim a lost treasure while avoiding the traps and ambushes of deadly new foes. Master the bō (a new weapon type), unlock new skills/gear/abilities, and get over 10 hours of additional content.”

A Journey to the Island of Awaji

As expected, Naoe and Yasuke, the protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will travel to the island of Awaji, where they will have to practice their skills and master the bō, a type of traditional stick used on the island of Okinawa. As revealed by Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is also working on a cooperative multiplayer mode, although it will not be ready at launch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on March 20th. Leaker Nate the Hate has revealed that Ubisoft is working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version, but it has not been confirmed yet.
