The media had been teasing it for a while, but now it is official: after the success of the first season of ‘Fallout’, Prime Video has gone ahead and confirmed that the adventure of the wasteland will continue in Season 2. This has been revealed by the account of the series and the platform on social media, without giving further details about the production, although Variety has published that the shooting will be moved to California for a matter of tax incentives. “Wouldn’t want to keep you on the edge of your seat, would we? See you back in the wasteland for SEASON 2″, they wrote.

‘Fallout’ is a canonical story within the universe of Bethesda Game Studios. Todd Howard, one of the most responsible for the franchise, has also stressed that the title Fallout: New Vegas is still part of the official chronology, as there have been some doubts about it. The story of the series takes place years after the events of the video games, so it is the most advanced product in that sense, more than 200 years after the nuclear war that destroyed everything.

What happened to the Fallout characters at the end of the first season?

Needless to say, the information below contains major spoilers.

With that warning out of the way, here’s what happened to the show’s main characters: Lucy McLean (Ella Pernell) escapes from the safe house after Lee Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury) breaks in, kills some locals, and kidnaps the main character’s father.

Lucy decides to search for her father, so she goes into the wilderness. In the end, however, the truth is revealed in all its rawness. Hank McLean (Kyle MacLachlan) is actually an employee of Vault-Tec, the company behind the nuclear disaster. Lucy’s father has been sleeping in a cryogenic sleep pod for years, ready to play his role. Her mother left the pod with her children, and Hank responded by dropping a nuclear bomb on the town of Shady Sands. Upon discovering all this (and her mother’s fate), the survivor decides to leave with the ghoul Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins), leaving her father behind.

As for Cooper, his story is also connected to Vault-Tec. His wife Barbara was an executive at the company and played a leading role in the nuclear destruction of the world, as revealed in the last episode. All indications are that the Ghoul’s journey in the second season will have to do with finding his family, who are apparently still alive. Oh, and yes, Dogmeat will continue to accompany the former Hollywood star.

Maximus (Aaron Moten) of the Brotherhood of Steel is appointed squire to the knight Titus. Faced with the paladin’s cowardice, he leaves him to die and takes possession of his armor. Hiding his true identity, he pretends to be Titus, though the ruse is later discovered. Due to various circumstances, he returns to the Brotherhood and his life is spared. Thus, in the final episode, he fights Moldaver’s troops as a mere squire, although in one of the final scenes he is hailed as Knight Maximus for supposedly assassinating this important figure of the Republic of New California.

All 8 episodes of the first season of Fallout are available on Prime Video. It is already known that Fallout 5 is not in production yet, waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI to move forward in its development.
