Konami

It’s scarier than we imagined: New Silent Hill f trailer is a mix of Project Zero and Rule of Rose

After the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Konami is building up the hype among fans of the legendary horror franchise.

We were dying to see it, and here it is: Konami has released the new trailer for Silent Hill f, the next installment in the legendary horror franchise. These are undoubtedly good times for fans of the franchise, because after a Silent Hill 2 Remake that went really well and the confirmation that Bloober Team is already working on another one, we finally have news about the next main chapter.

Silent Hill f will tell an all-new story set in 1960s Japan, a truly surprising setting compared to what we have seen so often in the more than 25 years since the franchise debuted on the first PlayStation. This is the first Silent Hill to be set in Japan, and the story’s premise is reminiscent of Rule of Rose, with teenagers at the center of the plot and betrayal as a central theme.

Graphically it is a wonder thanks to the virtues of Unreal Engine 5, and although there was little gameplay, in the trailer we can see some really scary creatures, plus a brief glimpse of the village that we can freely explore while surviving the dangers that lurk under the fog? Well, it seems that in Silent Hill f we’ll have to be more careful with the flowers...

The protagonist of the game is Hinako, who is trapped in a nightmare where it is very difficult to tell what is real and what is not (there are some really disturbing scenes in the video). Although not too many details about the gameplay have been revealed, it has been confirmed that there will be exploration, survival, puzzle solving and combat, so everything suggests that we can expect a similar experience to Silent Hill 2 Remake.
