‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ gives us a new look at Scarlett Johansson hunting dinos with new images

The fourth entry of the Jurassic World series is getting closer and closer, and now we have new images that tease the new dino adventure

One of the biggest releases of summer 2025 will be ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, the film starring Scarlett Johansson that continues the Jurassic saga after ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ in 2022. Entertainment Weekly has shown new images from the film in which we can see Johansson in full action, both as a researcher and a hunter. We can also see Mahershala Ali, Nathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend in the middle of the jungle, with the franchise now under the direction of Gareth Edwards.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the director known for films such as ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, ‘Godzilla’ and ‘The Creator’ among others, admitted that he sees the project as “a new trilogy. I’m not sure what their plans are, but it seemed like the beginning of a new chapter for this franchise. For me, it is a great love letter to Steven Spielberg and his first films.”

A new Jurassic adventure will arrive in the summer of 2025

In ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, Edwards pays tribute to Spielberg, highlighting that there are moments that “remind him a lot of ‘Jaws’. “It’s like a little compilation of all the aspects of his movies that I loved as a kid.”

The synopsis for ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ reads as follows: Five years after the events of “Dominion,” it follows Zora (Scarlett Johansson), who leads a team to obtain genetic material from three enormous dinosaurs. When the operation crosses paths with a family, they are stranded on an island where they make a sinister discovery.”
