‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ shows off Scarlett Johansson as a dinosaur hunter in new images

New times are coming for the saga that was born under the arm of Steven Spielberg. ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is the next chapter of a franchise that stands the test of time. This time the protagonist will be none other than Scarlett Johansson, who will play the role of a dinosaur hunter who seeks to find new DNA samples. And a new still from the movie released by Empire Magazine shows off the actress ready to face the dangers of the post-dinosaur world left behind after the previous trilogy. You won’t have to wait long to see it in theaters: it will be one of the main attractions of the summer premiering on July 2, 2025.

New details about ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’: what state is the world in?

The image is part of an exclusive granted to Empire, a medium that has also had access to several of those responsible for the film. Its director, Gareth Edwards, has shared details about the character Johansson plays: “She’s looking for meaning in her life after leaving the military. and this opportunity comes along where [after it] basically she’d never have to work again. But through that journey, she starts to question the ethical rights and wrongs of what they’re doing.” Sounds familiar, right?

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is set years after ‘Jurassic World Dominion’, continuing the trilogy that places the dinosaurs in complete freedom in a post-apocalyptic context full of edges. For the director, it was key to place “an embarrassment of riches of different set-piece-type scenarios and tense, fun action moments.”
