Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 could snatch an astonishing Guinness World Record from Baldur’s Gate 3 before its release
The new game from Warhorse Studios features an intense script worthy of such an RPG.
First impressions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II could not be more promising. The new medieval RPG from Warhorse Studios aims to be the first big game of 2025, and part of its success could lie in the possibilities of its world. In addition to the wide range of options offered by its gameplay, the script of the work will be incredibly deep to ensure total immersion in 15th century Bohemia. In fact, this last part could end up making history in the medium.
In the past few hours, a video posted by YouTuber ESO_Danny has gone viral, showing him posing next to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 script, which is said to be 1.7 million words long. Sometime later, the developer’s own official account corrected this information, stating that the documents total around 2.2 million words. Daniel Vávra, the game’s director, took the opportunity to add that, to his knowledge, this could be the longest script ever created for a video game. If this is true, Baldur’s Gate 3 would lose its Guinness World Record, which was set in 2023.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 could break the great record of Baldur’s Gate 3
Until Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is released, it will not be possible to verify whether Vávra’s claims are true or not, but what is clear is that the story of his new video game will be immense, with thousands and thousands of different dialogues. Will it be able to surpass the length of a title as dense as Baldur’s Gate 3?
