Kojima Productions celebrates a decade with a glimpse into the future

An exclusive event in Tokyo will highlight upcoming projects from the studio.

Update:

Hideo Kojima will reveal what the future holds for Kojima Productions later this month at an event celebrating the creative director’s 10th year of independence and the studio’s formation.

The event, called Beyond The Strand, will take place on September 23, 2025, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, Japan. This will be a celebratory event lasting approximately two and a half hours, which, in addition to featuring guest appearances, will give us a glimpse into future projects. Fans of Kojima and the studio will be able to participate to get their tickets starting tomorrow, September 2, from 10:00 a.m. JST until Monday, September 8.

Tickets will cost ¥7700, which is equivalent to about $50. Although this is a live event, the publication notes that details about the stream will be provided at a later date, and if broadcast live, it would take place around 9:00 p.m. PT.

Kojima’s immediate future, for now

Despite the premise of knowing the future of what Kojima has planned after Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, there are already some games announced by the creative director. First on the list, and most likely to be released, is OD, a collaboration that Kojima has exclusively with Xbox, which was announced in November 2022. More details were revealed at The Game Awards 2023, including the cast and the collaboration with director Jordan Peele to create a horror experience.

On the other hand, and further down the line, Kojima has another PlayStation exclusive under the name Physint, which is still in the conceptual stage. The title is even further away from release, and could even be one of the first exclusives announced for the PlayStation 6.
