Konami, after Metal Gear Solid Delta: “we will listen to player demand”

A Konami spokesman says they are not ruling out more Metal Gear Solid remakes if the fans want them.

Update:
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Although it seemed impossible a few years ago, Konami seems to be back on track. After bringing Silent Hill out of the shadows, it was recently Metal Gear’s turn with the announcement of the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and a fantastic collection in Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. And the best part is that there may be more to come in the future, if the words of a spokesperson for the Japanese company are anything to go by.

And the remake of the third installment is the first... but it might not be the last. “Regarding remakes of previous games in the series other than Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we will listen to player demand and consider accordingly,” Konami said in an interview.

“We chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it depicts the birth of BIG BOSS (Naked Snake), which is the starting point of the Metal Gear series,” they explain, explaining why they chose to remake this third iteration instead of the first chronologically released game, which dates back to 1998 in its original Japanese release. “Another reason is that many fans have been requesting a remake of this game for a long time,” he concludes, “and the rumors that have been circulating for all these years are nothing more than the representation of the wishes of the fans of the saga.

A perfect opportunity to get to know a legendary franchise

This fall, we can get our hands on the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, a compilation that includes no less than five games: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the two classics from the late ‘80s. These are the remastered versions that were released more than a decade ago.
