Koraidon sighted! The legendary motorbike Pokémon was revealed by Honda in Tokyo

Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda has recreated a lifesize replica of the legendary Pokémon Koraidon from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the last main video games in the franchise. According to Honda’s official website, this remarkable creation is on display to the public from this Friday until next Sunday at the Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo.

The Honda Koraidon project was overseen by The Pokémon Company, and it involved the participation of approximately 40 volunteers from Honda, Japan’s second-largest car company. The Koraidon’s weight and size have been meticulously recreated virtually life-size, with meticulous attention to detail.

Honda’s plans extend beyond the initial display. They intend to further develop the bike by utilizing its proprietary balance control technology, which has been cultivated in robots like ASIMO. This technology will enable the Honda Koraidon to walk on all fours as well as it does in the game.

Koraidon and his counterpart Miraidon hold significant importance in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, as they are the players’ best means of transportation through the Paldea Region. After eating some snacks, it even learns how to glide and climb.

The Honda Koraidon project complements the Toyota Miraidon one, which was already revealed in March 2024. This project involved Japan’s largest automaker, Toyota, and was also a functional motorbike.
