LEGO reveals first-ever ‘The X-Files’ set with eight minifigures and exclusive Early Access bonus

The LEGO Ideas release recreates Mulder’s office and an iconic alien encounter while Scully returns in a new promotional video.

The truth is out there—and now it’s made of 1,478 LEGO pieces. LEGO has officially unveiled a new ‘The X-Files’ set as part of its LEGO Ideas line, bringing one of television’s most iconic sci-fi series to brick form for the first time. To celebrate the announcement, Gillian Anderson reprised her role as Dana Scully in a promotional video that ends with the reveal of the highly anticipated set.

Designed by Australian fan designer and 3D artist Brent Waller, the project was submitted to LEGO Ideas as part of the platform’s ’90s Nostalgia Challenge before earning enough community support to become an official product.

The finished model recreates two of the series’ most recognizable settings in a dual-level display. The lower section features Fox Mulder’s cluttered basement office, complete with his famous “I Want to Believe” poster, while the upper section depicts a classic alien abduction scene in the middle of a forest. The set also includes eight minifigures: Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Cigarette Smoking Man, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Flukeman and A classic Grey Alien.

LEGO The X-Files Release Dates and Early Access Perks

The LEGO The X-Files set will retail for $199.99. LEGO Insiders members will receive early access beginning August 1, while the set will become available to the general public on August 4.
