Margot Robbie confesses that her platonic love is a character from 'Lord of the Rings'

After announcing that she is temporarily retiring from acting after ‘Barbie’, Robbie reveals her side as a producer and her more personal side in several interviews.

Margot Robbie is the talk of the town these days. Despite starring in one of last year’s biggest movies, the actress has just announced that she is temporarily retiring from acting because of ‘Barbie’. And after such an announcement, she has confessed who would be her “movie crush”, her platonic love, the ideal type of man according to her tastes and opinions.

In an interview for W Magazine with Ryan Gosling, the actress did not hesitate to admit that her platonic love is a Tolkien character. “There have been many, very many over the years, but the one that comes to mind would be Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings,” Margot explained. Her companion opened her eyes wide and asked, “Wait, from the book,” perhaps considering that in the novel he is described as a man of 87 years (the maturity of the Dúnedain). Laughing, the actress clarified that no, she was thinking of Viggo Mortensen, to which Gosling replied, “I understand.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling to make another movie together

The obvious chemistry between the two in ‘Barbie’ has led both actors to work on a new project together: the return of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, in which Margot Robbie will also be a producer. He may be putting his acting career on hold, but that doesn’t mean he’s stopping as a filmmaker.

“Everyone says that. Everyone’s like, “Are you having a break?” And I’m like, “You do know I’m a producer, right? We don’t get a break.” Robbie has been involved in ‘Saltburn’, one of the favorites for Oscar nominee of this year. As for the new movie with Gosling (who, yes, also confessed his personal crush: Raquel Welch on ‘The Muppets Show’), the actress/producer has this to say:

“Well, that’s still in development. Word got out about that; we didn’t release anything because it’s way too soon, to be honest. Whether it winds up being the next thing, I don’t know. I don’t think so. It’s a pretty big project to put together and there are certain logistical things that we have to time it around. For us a company, we have a film with Olivia Wilde [Naughty], which is moving quite quickly, so that could be the next thing we shoot. I’m not acting in it, just producing.
