Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has sold over 10 million copies since release
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has broken a new milestone, with the studio revealing that the game has sold over 10 million copies so far.
Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has reached a new milestone, surpassing over 10 million copies of the game sold since its release exclusiveley on PlayStation 5.
“Today, we’re honored to celebrate an amazing milestone,” said the studio on Twitter/X. “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has surpassed 10 million units sold, bringing the game series sales to an astounding 50 million units! Thank you for the support and making this spectacular journey possible!”
As mentioned in the tweet above, the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise has become one of Sony’s biggest game franchises. Those 50 million copies sold are split among the original PS4 title, its remastered edition for PS5, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and of course, the PC releases of all of these titles.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is still getting more new content
Released only at the end of last year, Insomniac Game’s latest title has made history within the studio. An average score of 91 has firmly cemented the title as the best release the studio has ever had. In our review, we called it one of the best experiences you can get on PS5 that truly makes use of the console’s hardware. And as if that wasn’t enough, Insomniac isn’t done with it yet.
They recently announced that the upcoming New Game Plus mode is coming in March, alongside story mission replay and more features to be added in the title’s next update. Players can also look forward to more costumes for the game’s playable characters, and other secret things that might be added to the PS5 exclusive.
