Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hides a Wolverine reference for X-Men fans

Insomniac’s latest title features a number of tributes and Easter eggs to the world of Marvel, including one of the most popular X-Men.

Update:
Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has positioned itself as one of the most important releases for PlayStation, not just this year, but for the current generation of consoles. The new adventure of the Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, has arrived in style, maintaining many of the details that impressed us from the first installment.

Among these, there are several easter eggs to different characters and places within the Marvel universe, and let’s even some that continue what we saw in the first installment. However, there is one detail that touches X-Men fans, and that is even a nod to the next title that Insomniac is preparing.

The Best (suit) There Is

Among the many outfits available to our protagonists is one that Miles Morales can unlock. If you’re a fan of Marvel Comics, you’ve probably heard the phrase “I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice. This is one of the iconic sayings of James Howlett, aka Logan, aka Weapon X, aka Wolverine. Once you reach level 52, you can unlock the “Best There is Suit,” which adds the mutant’s mask and colors to Miles’ costume.

Marvel’s Wolverine is coming soon

While it’s cool to wear a costume inspired by one of the most iconic X-Men characters, what’s better than controlling one of the most brutal and famous mutants in the comics? Although we were introduced to Marvel’s Wolverine at PlayStation Showcase 2021, we had no further information on this PlayStation 5 title. With the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we can only assume that there is nothing standing between Insomniac Games and this title.

Although it would be nice if the Insomniac Games team could take a break, as they have been supporting the current generation of Sony’s console with a total of 3 titles since its launch.
