Marvel’s “What If…?’ Season 3 gets a new trailer with a release date and episode count
The third and final season of Marvel Animation’s What If…? is almost upon us, with its first official trailer revealing a release date on December of this year.
The best part of the multiverse is the fact that there are infinite possibilities: from different versions of characters you love to never-before-seen battles. Allies turned to villains, dictators turned into benevolent gods. And when you mix all of that with the power of animation, you can get something incredibly fantastic. Such is the case for Marvel Animation’s ‘What If…?’ series, a show that took the multiverse into its hands to show off some of the craziest ideas in the MCU so far. Now, Season 3 is just around the corner, and a new trailer gives us all of the details.
Seemingly the end of the anthology series, Season 3 of ‘What If…?’ is set to premiere on Disney Plus on December 22, 2024. With a new episode released daily from that date, and with a total of 8 episodes, this inew batch of stories will show us new possibilities for the MCU.
Apart from the overarching plot of The Watcher dealing with conflicts that go beyond human understanding, the short trailer teases some very exciting things to come: We have a Power Rangers’ style giant robot piloted by Sam Wilson’s Captain America and his Avengers, Wild West versions of Shang-Chi and Kate Bishops’s Hawkeye, Winter Soldier and the Red Guardian fighting together, and even Photon fighting alongside an Asgardian skiff piloted by Okoye.
But we all know the real reason we’re all here for: the ultimate team-up of Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis, Astrophysicist, seemingly hijacking The Grandmaster’s pleasure cruise out of a space station.
And of course, STORM WIELDING MJOLNIR WHILE FIGHTING A GIANT SQUID MONSTER! IN THE MCU!
