MCU's The Fantastic Four Cast Officially Revealed as Valentine's Day Gift
Marvel Studios officially unveils the cast of the Fantastic Four, giving us the best Valentine’s Day gift we’ve ever had.
Marvel Studios has officially revealed the cast that will bring Marvel’s First Family, The Fantastic 4, to life in the MCU.
In a social media post that took advantage of the February 14th holiday, Marvel Studios wished us a happy Valentine’s Day by revealing the four actors who will bring to life Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, better known as Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing.
As previously reported, Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, The Last of Us) will play Reed Richards, while Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, The Crown) will play Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear, No Hard Feelings) will play Ben Grimm and Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) will play Johnny Storm.
Who is the robot in the Fantastic 4 image?
It remains to be seen if the little robot on the left is a new version of H.E.R.B.I.E., a character originally created for the 1978 animated series The New Fantastic Four. His inclusion is due to the fact that the Human Torch character could not be used at that time, and you can’t have The Fantastic Four when there are only three.
When will The Fantastic Four be released?
Another detail shown in this release is a change in the release date for The Fantastic Four. Originally, the movie was scheduled to be released on May 2, 2025, but now it will be pushed back a few months to July 25.
Phase 5 of the MCU is undergoing some restructuring, and it was thought that the date might change following the recent legal troubles of Jonathan Majors, who would play the big villain of this major arc, Kang the Conqueror, as well as the departure of Destin Daniel Cretton as director of Avengers: Kang Dynasty. It remains to be seen what other changes will come along with this one in the Marvel Studios schedule.
